Accessibility Statement
Last updated: May 11, 2026
Steven C. Fraser, P.A. is committed to making ibankruptcy.net usable by the widest possible audience, including users of assistive technology. We believe everyone deserves equal access to information about their legal rights and options for debt relief.
1. Our Accessibility Goal
Our goal is to work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines, developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), are the internationally recognized benchmark for web accessibility.
Status — honest disclosure. A May 2026 third-party review identified accessibility gaps on this site that we are actively remediating. We do not currently claim full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance. Active items in progress include: programmatic form-field labels on the means-test calculator and document upload, ARIA attributes on interactive accordions and the mobile navigation toggle, color-contrast adjustments for gold-on-white and gold-on-navy combinations, consistent visible focus indicators, and consistent skip-link availability across all page templates.
This page will be updated as remediation progresses. The next review is scheduled for August 2026.
2. Accessibility Features Already in Place
The following accessibility features are in production today:
Structure & Navigation
- Semantic HTML: Use of headings, landmarks, lists, and other semantic elements to convey document structure to assistive technologies
- Skip navigation: A “Skip to main content” link at the top of each page allows keyboard users to bypass repeated navigation elements
- Keyboard navigation: Links, buttons, and standard form controls are operable by keyboard
Content & Media
- Alt text: Alternative text is provided for informational images
- Descriptive link text: Links use descriptive text rather than generic phrases like “click here”
- Plain language: Legal concepts are explained in clear language wherever possible
3. Third-Party Service Limitations
Our website integrates with third-party services that are not under our direct control. We cannot guarantee WCAG 2.1 AA conformance for content rendered by these platforms:
- Calendly — Online scheduling widget
- Confido Legal — Payment processing forms
- SignNow — Electronic signature interface
- TitanFile — Secure document upload portal
- Google Maps — Embedded office location maps
If you encounter an accessibility barrier with any of these services, please contact us directly and we will provide an alternative method to accomplish the same task — such as scheduling by phone, accepting payments by alternative means, or receiving documents through an accessible channel.
4. Ongoing Efforts
We are committed to improving the accessibility of this website through:
- Periodic accessibility reviews and remediation
- Testing with screen readers and other assistive technologies
- Incorporating accessibility considerations into the design and development of new content
